Do I need to know regex?

No for simple literal swaps. Enable regex only when you need patterns like \d+ or optional groups.

What does case-sensitive mean?

When on, 'Foo' and 'foo' are different matches. When off, letters match regardless of case where the engine allows.

Can I replace newlines?

Yes if regex mode supports \n; paste multi-line text and test on a small sample first.

Will it change my original file?

No. Output is shown in the panel — save back to your file manually.
