Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026
At Quick Calci Tools, privacy is not a marketing slogan — it is how the product is built. Most of our tools process your input entirely in your browser, without sending it to our servers. This policy explains, honestly and in plain language, what information we do and do not collect, why we collect it, and what choices you have.
If anything here is unclear, please contact us. We would rather explain something twice than leave you guessing.
1. Who we are
Quick Calci Tools is operated by J Jaya Prakash and is available at https://tools.quickcalci.com. For privacy-related enquiries, you can reach us at hello@quickcalci.com.
2. Our privacy philosophy
We follow a few simple principles:
- Process locally when we can. Your tool inputs should stay on your device.
- Collect only what we need. We do not ask for an account, and we do not build profiles of what you type into tools.
- Be transparent. If we use analytics or advertising, we tell you — and we document the cookies involved in our Cookie Policy.
- Respect your choices. You can manage cookies in your browser and opt out of certain ad personalisation through industry tools.
3. Information we do not collect
For normal use of our tools, we do not collect, store, or transmit on our servers:
- The text, numbers, files, or other content you enter into a tool.
- The output our tools generate for you.
- Your browsing history within individual tool sessions.
This is by design. When you format JSON, convert a unit, or edit an image, that work happens in your browser using client-side code. We do not operate a backend that receives your inputs.
4. Information stored on your device
Some features save small amounts of data locally in your browser using localStorage (a browser storage mechanism, not a cookie). This data never leaves your device unless you clear it or share it yourself. It is used purely to improve your experience on return visits.
Examples of what may be stored locally:
- Theme preference (
theme) — light or dark mode. - Recent tools (
qc-recent-tools) — a short list of tools you have visited. - Favourite tools (
qc-favorite-tools) — tools you have bookmarked on the Site. - Notepad drafts (
qc-notepad-content) — text saved by the Notepad tool. - Whiteboard scenes (
qc-whiteboard-scene) — drawings saved by the Whiteboard tool. - Markdown editor documents — drafts and settings for the Markdown Editor.
- World Clock layout (
qc-world-clock) — your chosen time zones. - Tool-specific state — some tools remember your last inputs or settings under keys prefixed for that tool.
You can clear this data at any time through your browser's site settings or by clearing browsing data for tools.quickcalci.com. Clearing local data may reset your preferences and any locally saved drafts.
5. Information collected automatically
Like most websites, we and our service providers collect certain technical information when you visit the Site. This helps us understand how the Site is used, keep it secure, and maintain performance. It does not include the content you type into tools.
This may include:
- Pages visited and approximate time spent on the Site.
- Referring website or search query (if your browser sends it).
- Browser type, device type, operating system, and screen resolution (in aggregate).
- Approximate geographic region derived from your IP address (country or city level).
- IP address — processed by our hosting and analytics providers, not stored by us directly in a user database.
6. Analytics services we use
We use the following analytics services to understand Site traffic in aggregate:
- Google Analytics (measurement ID: G-HLDLZJV4V4) — helps us understand which pages are visited and how users navigate the Site. Google may process data according to its own privacy policy.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics — a privacy-oriented analytics beacon that helps us monitor performance and traffic patterns. It runs only in production.
We use analytics to improve the Site, not to build individual profiles of tool usage. For a full list of cookies and storage used by these services, please see our Cookie Policy.
7. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies — small text files placed on your device — and similar technologies to operate the Site, remember preferences, measure traffic, and support advertising. Cookies set by us are called "first-party cookies"; cookies set by partners like Google are "third-party cookies."
We group cookies into three categories: essential, analytics, and advertising. A detailed breakdown — including specific cookie names, purposes, and durations — is available in our dedicated Cookie Policy.
8. Advertising
To help keep Quick Calci Tools free, we may display advertisements through third-party programmes such as Google AdSense. When ads are shown, Google and its partners may use cookies to serve, personalise, limit, or measure advertisements based on your visits to this Site and other sites.
We do not control how advertising partners process data. Their practices are governed by their own policies, including the Google AdSense Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
You can opt out of personalised advertising from Google at Google Ads Settings, or learn more at aboutads.info.
9. Information you send us directly
If you contact us by email or through our Contact page, we receive whatever information you choose to provide — typically your email address, name (if you include it), and the content of your message. We use this solely to respond to your enquiry and, where relevant, to improve the Site.
We do not sell your contact information to third parties.
10. How we use information
We use the limited information described in this policy to:
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Site and its tools.
- Understand aggregate usage patterns and fix bugs.
- Display and measure advertisements that help fund the Site.
- Respond to your enquiries and support requests.
- Protect the Site against abuse, fraud, and security threats.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations.
We do not use your tool inputs for any of the above — those stay in your browser.
11. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited technical data with service providers who help us run the Site, including:
- Cloudflare — hosting, CDN, and web analytics.
- Google — analytics (Google Analytics) and advertising (AdSense, when enabled).
These providers process data on our behalf and under their own terms. We may also disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Site.
12. Data retention
Analytics providers retain aggregated traffic data according to their own retention schedules (typically between 14 and 26 months for Google Analytics). Emails you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any reasonable follow-up, unless a longer period is required by law.
Data stored in your browser's localStorage persists until you clear it. We have no ability to delete localStorage on your device remotely.
13. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal information. These may include the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your data, and the right to object to certain processing or withdraw consent.
Practical steps you can take today:
- Adjust cookie settings in your browser (see our Cookie Policy for guidance).
- Install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
- Manage ad personalisation at Google Ads Settings.
- Clear localStorage and cookies for tools.quickcalci.com in your browser settings.
- Email us at hello@quickcalci.com to exercise any applicable data rights.
If you are in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or California, you may have additional rights under the GDPR or CCPA/CPRA. We will honour valid requests to the best of our ability regardless of where you are located.
14. Children's privacy
Quick Calci Tools is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.
15. International data transfers
The Site is hosted on global infrastructure. If you access the Site from outside India, your information may be processed in countries — including the United States — that may have different data protection laws than your own. Where required, our service providers use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
16. Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the Site, including HTTPS encryption, security headers, and reputable hosting infrastructure. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security — but we work continuously to reduce risk.
17. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will make a reasonable effort to notify you — for example, through a notice on the Site. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
18. Contact us
Privacy questions, concerns, or requests are always welcome. Please visit our Contact page or email hello@quickcalci.com. We read every message and aim to respond within a reasonable time.
